Check out this superhero themed shadowbox of wood, and LIGHT. I love it.
I think I’d do WonderWoman (or Batman) shadowbox, and I’d like to make the frame out of very good (if not fine) woodworking techniques I’ve learned at the shop. I think mitered corners with the contrasting wood splines that are visible.

A simple neopixel strip would light this up nicely and would probably only need an on/off switch. Hardly any programming would be needed, unless you wanted to make the colors fade in and out…

A glass of wine and a laser.
Both the crosses are make from 3 mm BB.

The lit one has a piece of 3 mm acrylic in it with six 3 mm blue LEDs.

It’s not very bright because there are so many cutout areas and the light does not travel around corners.
