Ring Boxes: Something Old, Something New

These are a couple of ring boxes I made for my niece who is getting married soon (it was supposed to be in May but you know, pandemic). The primary wood is ancient kauri which was mentioned by George Vondriska in the last general meeting. The board I got was certified to be at least 10,000 years old and possibly 50,000 hence the title of the post.

Awesome project. I am sure they will appreciate the significance of the wood you used once they learn about it.
