Exploring the 'plastic' properties of wood

One of my first, more useful CNC projects was to build a little caddy for my XYZ probe on my Shapeoko. It required thinking in three dimensions even more than a normal woodworking project. Here are the pieces I cut out of a piece of poplar with the .25 flat end mill:

Glued together, they look like this:

Hopefully that is the end of knocking it off onto the floor. Oh, and my BitSetter finally became available. I received it and installed it yesterday. All set for some fabulous work now, if I can just find the time…

If you designed this from scratch then kudos.

I’ll often find a design and modify it.
