Lightburn 0.9.20 has been released

mostly a small bugfix release but here’s the rundown none the less:

Oz’s post on the release:
https://forum.lightburnsoftware.com/t/lightburn-0-9-20-released/28600

“We’ve added a retry mechanism for GCode position queries to get around a bug in Ortur laser firmware. This eliminates the hang / busy that required power cycling the laser.”

ya, I’ve been running the beta and didn’t have the problem but I didn’t have the problem that much anyways but don’t run the machine daily as many others do.

Oz is pretty amazing and his beta’s get released quickly as do his bug fixes if any are found.

after years of using updatable fish finders and updates I’ve been gun shy to update from 9.18…look forward to see what 20 does from others inputs. I normally wait a few months out.

For years I’ve been updating LightBurn soon after new release.
Only one time can I remember any problem and it was minor.
Given that 0.9.20 addresses your “hang” issue, I’d say go for it.

Oz is a seriously competent coder.
