Slickplane guide fell off

The metal guide to my Slickplane fell off. How can I glue the metal guide to the wooden Handle?

I’m not that familiar with the Slickplane, but I’m guessing you would use Cyanoacrylate (super glue). I have best luck with medium thick CA glue.

FYI
I looked online to find out if brass can be glued to wood discovering that aluminum can be attached with epoxy. I tried that last night and surprisingly this morning my slingplane is usable.
