Lilli the Bean Clock - Rex A schildhouse

What grandpas won’t do for granddaughters. This is my first CNC project. It is a Lilli the Bean CNC clock. It is about 11 1/2" wide. The face is 48 individual pieces with opposing and offset grains at each step. The back is 1/4" particle board. The numbers are V-bit carved and then painted. While it is not perfect, it was fun and frustrating to make. Now that the CNC machine has been cycled and exercised, I need to true it up again and retension the belts for better accuracy. A lot of lessons learned on this first CNC project.

That’s great, first attempt or not!

And all you need is an undergraduate degree in geometry to design it, eh?!

Well done! This was your first CNC project? Amazing.

Most would profile cut a square.
