Hello All,
I am a newish wood shop teacher in East County, and even newer member to SDFWA. I have a Powermatic Planer in my shop that desperately needs some TLC. While I wish I could say I have the expertise to work on this machine myself, I don’t nor do I have time (as a teacher) to dedicate several hours to troubleshooting the issues (issues explained below). Are there any companies/individuals in the San Diego region that I can hire to repair this machine. We’re a relatively well funded program so paying for a service shouldn’t be an issue. I just haven’t been able to find anyone through google searches etc.
Thanks for your help pointing me in the right direction.
If you’re curious about the issues:
It’s not feeding properly. The rollers/infeed/something are either misaligned or too tight etc. It’s still operable, I can finess it and still get good results, but its certainly not ideal for students to working with this machine.
