Sometime in the next 2 weeks I plan to buy some zebra wood approximately 8x51x1. Can anyone recommend where I can get a board like this resawn?
It doesn’t seem worth it to me to pay for a shop membership if this is the only thing I need done.
Right, when all you want is a one-time use of a bandsaw with a wide blade why join a woodworking shop. While these forums could connect you with a generous SDFWA member who could invite you over for an afternoon to use their equipment, it so far hasn’t worked out that way. I don’t know members’ home shops well enough to recommend but I do know that turners often have good bandsaws. You might reach out to the SDWT.org who have a much more effective mentor program. They might be able to pair you up with someone for the resawing.

You may bring a friend to hold the other end. Non shop members may be in the shop, just can not operate the machines.
