"There are 2 special layers at the end of the cut palette, labeled T1 and T2 . These are Tool Layers and are purely for creating non-output shapes in your designs. These layers have no cut parameters and will never be output to the laser. For example you could use them for:

cool. I normally just use normal layers/colors and turn the output off manually for that purpose.

But I do wonder what’s really different from turning the output off or maybe it’s just the use of common colors for these specific tasks.

found a video on that as well using the tool layers in masking. wish he would have done more examples
