Will look good in the den.
I’m still shocked at how nicely tile etches with the Ortur.
What was your process? Paint layer? Oil coat? Bare?
Tom,
Please will you detail out what you did, that really looks good. What material did you use, and what were your settings on your Ortur? What is the W rating for your Laser? Well done, I hope we can all learn from you.
Thank you,
Ian
Scuba What I have learned has came greatly from this groups vids and the Ortur group. It has taken me a great deal of tiles to get to this stage lol.
I cleaned the tile with Acetone and then cleaned that off with a micro fiber. I only shot it with a lite coat of Krylon Fusion all in one gloss white. My notes on these show 900/90. I find it strange at times tho due to one tile being darker that the other at times. All with the same settings, I’m sure this has something to do with the amount of paint. Going out in a bit to pick up some top coat and also going to try the flat white next time.
What is the W rating?
SDFWA I laid it out in the next comment. I can not tell you how many times I watched the setting up of the laser you guys out out. It has taken a long time to find that sweet spot for focus but sense then I have made some guides to use and taking notes on my burns has helped a lot…good and bad burns.
Thanks Tom, by W I meant what is the Watt rating for the Ortur laser you have?
What you accomplished certainly is encouraging for the rest of us.
Ian
Got ya. I have the 15w lm2. Working on just bringing out my under coat now on some black painted tiles. This stuff sure is fun to work with.
