Alan introduced a secret guest speaker who had added a laser to his CNC. Ed Baize, leader of the CNC SIG, presented his Opt laser add-on to his Shapeoko XL CNC. Alan then continued with a discussion of his dual-power air compressor project and promised updates at the next meeting. We then went on to discuss the Print & Copy feature of LightBurn which allows laser cutting of objects much larger than a laser’s print bed if it happens to support passthrough material.
