I’m not sure how the pieces are used individually. They look like ornaments but we’re working on Mother’s Day. Perhaps the entire shape should form a heart where chunks come apart as above? This way they don’t hang them on a tree or wear them around their neck, they just cherish their “part of the whole heart.”
Thoughts?

I forgot to tell you that these are key chain tokens. Need some jump rings.
It could be made into a wall hanging or one ornament/ hanging thing.
