If you’ve used a laser then you want a laser … but they can be expensive.
Here we tour three home lasers, each made in China and powered by a RuiDa controller. The three were presented in increasing size and ability. Alan presented his 12"x20" laser with a 50 watt tube ($1,200) that he’d upgraded to a 60 watt. Randy shared his 20"x28" laser with a 60 watt tube ($1,800) with an upgraded CW5000 chiller. Mark showed us his 24" x 36" laser with 100 watt tube ($3,900) which he’d customized in various ways. It was an informative and enjoyable hour which then continued on with a discussion of PPE projects in the COVID-19 era.
While buying these can be an iffy proposition, being able to tap into our community of experienced users reduces the risk. There are people to turn to who you can ask for help. They’ve been there!
